How much does a website build cost?
Our web design prices depend upon the type of website that you require. For a build only website, our prices start at £100 per web page. There are also hosing fees per month, payable in advance (either monthly or yearly). If you are serious about your website being found, then it is recommended that you invest in our digital marketing support package. We will build your new website and then we will implement a number of digital marketing strategies. The price of a website can vary dependent upon the number of pages required and whether you would like to add on any of our other services such as: copywriting/blog writing, building online citations, social media and video production, corporate branding or print services. We can give you our quote for a website when you call us or why not take a look at our packages for more information.
How does your web design service differ from other digital marketing providers?
It may sound cheesy, but we really do care about how our services impact the business of our clients. We always aim to educate (not bamboozle!). We get a real buzz when clients tell us that they love how their website and that it’s bringing in leads. We don’t just take your money and build a bland website; we invest time in finding out about you, your business, your likes and preferences to ensure that you receive a website that perfectly reflects your requirements.
Can we access your web design services via the phone, or do we need to have a face-to-face meeting about what we want?
We have always been flexible about how we meet our clients. Your website needs can be discussed over the phone, via zoom or in person. You decide!
I already have a website, but would like to have a new one built from scratch, is this something you can do?
Of course! We regularly work with clients that are in this situation and are happy to build and design them a new website that better reflects and represents their business, services and products offered.
I think that my current website looks outdated and I’d like a redesign. Are you able to revamp my website?
We will take your lead regarding which aspects of your website you don’t like and we can make improvements to your website in a number of ways. However, sometimes, it’s best to start again and create a new website from scratch. If we feel that this would be your better option, we’ll let you know.
In order to get my website built, what information do I need to give you?
We would require information about your company, images and content to put on the website. If images of your services/products are in short supply, we can source images for you, or put you in touch with one of our photographers. If you are not confident with writing content, we provide a copywriting service. We can write content for your web pages and blogs.
I’ve a business on Facebook and would now like to reach a wider audience with a website. How do a I buy the name for my business.
Buying a domain is a relatively simple process that we can help you with. Anyone can purchase a domain name by going to a domain host and finding a name that no one else is using. You simply pay an annual fee to own it. Often it can be more difficult when it comes to choosing a name, as many catchy domain names have already been registered. However, if you need some feedback on the name you have already chosen – we can help with that too.
How can my email address match my domain name?
Purchasing a professional email address that is linked to your business domain name is something that we can help you with. We will give you the options available and let you know the annual cost.
Do you write content for websites as well as building them?
Yes, we offer copywriting as part of our services. This can be accessed alongside a website build or in isolation. You do not have to have had a website built by us in order to hire us for this service.
Can you source images for my website?
We understand that sometimes it’s not easy for a business to produce their own images for their website and we are happy to help source appropriate images. We also have contacts with some excellent photographers who we can recommend you to.
Once you’ve built my website, can you make future changes to it if needed?
If you have opted for us to solely build your website, we would be happy to make further changes to your site based on or hourly rate. If you’re on our digital marketing support package, content updates are included as part of the monthly package. Read more about our packages.
My website is currently on page 3 and it’s simply not getting found. Can you help?
When a website is found on pages one or two of search engine results, it’s usually due to a variety of on-going factors that have been actioned by a web designer or search engine optimisation (SEO) expert. There are various SEO actions that would help your website get found better and this list of to do’s includes: content, keywords, citations, images, web layout, and other back-end SEO actions. What are citations and do I need them?
A citation, is an online reference that contains information about a business, namely their name, address and phone number (NAP). This mention can be made on directories, like Thomson, Yell or 192, on websites like Netmums, or social media platforms like Facebook. Being cited allows you to be found by a greater number of online customers and search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo, so we would recommend taking this action straight away.
Can you help add my business to online directories?

I’ve heard of keywords, but do I really need them as part of my website content?
Keywords are a term or phrase that a user will search for when using a search engine. It is important to have your business website associated with these keywords so that it will appear when these words are searched for.
I’ve heard of Google Business Profile and Bing Places for business, what are they?
These are free applications that allows business owners to detail their location and/or image/s on a map. It can also display other information that may be of interest to customers, like independent reviews of the products or services. This will help your business to be found in related searches.
I've no clue how to set up a Google Business Profile. Is this something you can help me with?
Setting up a Google Business Profile (GBP) is relatively easy. Even though Google have recently changed the profile dashboard, it remains a task that most people can do themselves. What is a Local Citation and does my website need one?
A local citation is where your website address is mentioned or linked on other directory websites. It is vital for your listings to be consistent across the Internet, in order for the search engine algorithms to know that you are one and the same business. If your company is not on any directory listings we can create and manage that for you or alternatively increase your current listings quota.
How is payment taken for my website build?
We usually take a percentage of the overall cost for work to be initiated. The remainder is payable upon a website going live. For clients on our digital marketing support package, when the website ‘goes live’ monthly payments will commence. Before committing to any website package, you will receive a full outline of works to be done/costs in a written proposal. We now offer a flexible payment to help spread the cost.
Can you write content for my site?
We recognise that not everyone can describe what they do in a way that will attract the right customers. Having the right type of content on your website is really important, as it can help your website stand out for all the right reasons. Our copywriting service can be accessed as part of a website build or as a stand-alone purchase. We write content for websites, blogs and other marketing campaigns.
The images on my website need improving, is this something that Perfect Layout can help me with?
Having the right images on your site can really help sell your services and products. They should be high quality, and optimised for web, so that they don’t slow down the load time of your website. We can source images for you or put you in touch with one of our professional photographer contacts.
My website is bringing in barely any traffic – how can your SEO service help with this?

Contract term is a minimum of 3 months duration, with 30 days’ notice required to cancel, perfect for limited budgets and campaigns of short duration.
