Background Information
Mariéme Diallo, a hairdresser for over 20 years, was ready to increase her client base and encourage new customers to visit her salon. The salon that she currently manages (The Body Factory Salon) was attached to a ladies-only gym and their website did not reflect the true range of services that she offered.

She felt that having a website only package would suit her current needs.

How Perfect Layout helped
During our consultation we discussed the areas that would be displayed on the navigation bar. We usually recommend that a website includes the following information as a minimum: home, about, services, testimonials, contact. Our 'starter' website build package includes up to 10 pages so there is great scope within this package for all areas of a business to be covered. As a result, further pages were also included: prices, offers and pro gallery.

Mariéme was also keen to have her website reflect the main colours that made up the interior of her salon: black, white and silver.

Mariéme was encouraged to write her own content, as this would keep the costs down, but she ultimately paid for copywriting services to expand upon what she had already written and to ensure that her content was rich in keywords, for search engine optimisation. She also hired a professional photographer to take images of her in situ, which brought to life the professionalism and warmth of the salon.

Mariéme already had images of models, whose hair she had styled for professional hair competitions, and these photographs were included on various pages throughout her website. A Pro Gallery page was also added to show the quality and variety of hair styles in Mariéme’s repertoire.
Perfect Layout also purchased the domain name and professional email address for Mariéme D Hair, which is a service we offer to all our customers.

Even though Mariéme chose a website build package, without the ongoing support, she always has the possibility of buying a block of time (at our hourly rate) for undertaking content/image or structural changes to her website in the future.
