How can Google Ads improve your online visibility?

Google Ads help you create brand campaigns, which establish credibility and authority and in turn enhance online visibility. Your customers can connect with you in various ways, such as navigating your website, watching your videos, commenting on your blog, or communicating with your personnel.

Whilst most people lump them together, Google Ads has four different types:
  • Display ads – These refer to the images included in the Google Display Network. The network has over two million apps and websites, including YouTube and Gmail.  
  • Search ads – This is probably what is familiar to most people. Essentially, your ad will appear at the top of the SERP or search engine results page, or at the bottom. It’s probably the quickest way to improve your visibility and brand awareness and, hopefully, funnel traffic to your website.
  • Video ads – When you watch a YouTube video, you will likely see an ad before the clip begins.  
  • Shopping ads – Your ad will still display on the SERP, but it will show as a shopping carousel.
 
If you are an eCommerce website or you have a retail store, Google shopping ads would be an excellent place to start. Essentially, Google will import the data feed of your products, so you skip the manual process of creating individual marketing copies the way you do with text ads.

Ways Google Ads Can Boost Business Visibility
There are multiple ways Google Ads will enhance visibility and brand awareness. 

1 SERP — The pay-per-click solution enables you to bid on competitive keywords so that your ads will display in the SERP. With Google Ads, you only pay every time someone clicks on the banner that funnels traffic to your website or brings your customers to the landing page. 

2 Reach qualified leads — A qualified lead refers to a customer who has been vetted as someone with the capacity and the intention to purchase. Google Ads will help shortcut the process instead of investing in organic search, considered a long SEO game to drive traffic to your website. 

3 
Attract new customers — Organic SEO allows you to build a community of customers who believe in your values and services. However, you will eventually hit a wall and your client base will plateaus. Google Ads will enable you to break down the barriers and operate outside your sphere of influence. 

4 Trigger visitors into taking action — Visitors may lurk on your website without taking any other action; such as not adding products to their carts. The RLSA or remarketing lists for search ads give you the power to customise your ad based on the historical activity of the target audience when they last visited your website. 

With regards to the budget, starting small is best, especially if you are still learning the ropes. A daily marketing fund of £5-10 will help jumpstart your ads. Analytics will gauge the success of your ads, and you can adjust accordingly.
