what makes a good website_blog image_web designers romford
As the internet continues to accelerate into an ever-growing marketplace, it means that your competitor's websites are becoming as frequent as stars in the night sky. They sell the same goods or services as your company does online and the question is, what will set your company apart?

With increased competition, your website must impress customers when they visit. An impressive site can help your brand to stand out from your competition and great web design will seize and keep a customer's attention. So, what are the elements that make a good website? Here are four areas that we recommend you consider.
Colour
The colours you use on your website should cause your visitors to instantly see your offerings. Be sure that the colours don't conflict with your branding and only use colours that are brand approved.  Try and compliment the colours according to the type of products and services your business offers. For example, sunny pastels for a funeral home, may be considered inappropriate. Colour gradients are another great way to grab a customer's attention and guide their gaze to see the images you want them to see. There’s no getting away from the fact that the use of colour can greatly affect how good a website comes across. Learn more about the advantages and disadvantages of using colour.

Think Image
If you are going to use a photo or vector be sure that the photos and images you use are of adequate quality throughout your website. Of particular importance is the hero image, also known as a hero header. This is a website design term used to describe the image at the very top of a website, usually on a homepage.

It’s important as it offers a visitor that very first glimpse into what your business does and which products you offer. The better the quality of the picture, the greater the chances are that your customer will notice your brand's attention to detail. Use vibrant images to convey style if you are a clothing shop or if you are a brokerage use an image that implies wealth.

Minimalism can be used as well to create a powerful impression on the customer. Black and white with a unique font and right size can be as beneficial as a hero image. If you use an image, select one that accurately reflects your brand and your company's primary scope of business.

Be Clear About the Advantages of Your Product or Services
This can be achieved by the use of content, images and videos. Videos are a great way to illustrate what your company does and how a customer can benefit from choosing your company. Videos are useful for showing things such as cars, motorcycles, boats and so much more. Showing a video of an SUV traversing an off-road obstacle course shows just how well it handles. Far more effective and impactful than reading a descriptive piece about it.

Winning Content and Effective Calls to Action (CTA)
When your content is well written and grammatically correct, it will promote your company's imaginative spirit and complete professionalism. Having well-written content will keep a customer's attention so it will point them towards your call to action. Excellent content should make a visitor want to click the call to action. The CTA should be persuasive and use appealing language to compel the customer to click on it. "Click if you wish" is not going to convince users to click your CTA. Powerful CTAs like "Click now!" and "Don't wait!" are more likely to draw in visitors.

To Sum Up
Practising these tips will not only help your business to impress its customers but will also encourage them to stay and buy!
